ActivePure helps keep NZ Commonwealth Games team safer in Birmingham

The New Zealand Team will receive a further layer of protection against Covid-19 transmission while in Birmingham for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

ActivePure units will be used by the team to keep indoor air and surfaces cleaner and safer by providing continuous air and surface disinfection measures against a range of pathogens.  ActivePure has been proven against  the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the air and on surfaces.

ActivePure has now completed four successful deployments with the New Zealand Olympic Committee. ActivePure units are being provided under the New Zealand Olympic Committee’s partnership with Big Blue, a leading New Zealand water and air hygiene company and exclusive ActivePure partner in Australasia.

New Zealand Team Chef de Mission Nigel Avery says the units will help keep our athletes healthy while they represent New Zealand.

“A key part of competition at this level is ensuring that you show up healthy and well when it’s go time,” said Avery.

“The ActivePure partnership provides a critical layer of protection for both our Kiwi athletes and the NZ Team support crew so they can perform to their highest potential.”

Big Blue Managing Director Paul Wiggans is pleased to be providing ActivePure to the New Zealand Team.

“After seeing the positive impact of ActivePure at the Tokyo and Winter Olympics as well as in New Zealand across national interest projects, we were quick to support the NZ Commonwealth Team to help safeguard our athletes in their accomodation spaces,” said Wiggans.

“We were thrilled to see our athletes create history at the Olympic Games and we wish the team all the best in Birmingham.”

ActivePure is a globally leading indoor air safety technology developed with NASA scientists that has been widely adopted by New Zealand organisations, in particular in the Health sector which has been a focus for the company. Now Big Blue, a proud 100% Kiwi owned company, is on a mission to make all shared indoor air safer.

With several large scale nationwide deployments including the entire MIQ network and 19 out of 20 DHBs, ActivePure is now protecting hundreds of thousands of Kiwis.  ActivePure is suitable for all indoor spaces and is now available to all organisations across New Zealand and Australia.
